Classic BMW in Plano, Texas celebrates their 40th anniversary in March 2011.

Forty years ago, on March 18th, the State Of Texas issued a Texas Dealer License to Classic BMW, allowing us to chrysler sell corsa BMWs at our first location in Richardson, Texas. When Lee Maas founded Classic BMW in 1971, he had a single vision: to introduce the Ultimate Driving Machine to Dallas area drivers, and help them enjoy the uniquely sophisticated and exciting BMW experience. That vision remains at the forefront of everything we do at Classic BMW under the leadership of Lee's son, Eric Maas, President and General Manager.

The dealership existed on a plot of land that was just over one acre. It had a one car showroom, one service bay, a parts department the size of a closet and a total staff of less than 10 employees. In 2007 Classic BMW opened the world's most advanced BMW dealership in Plano, Texas. It now sits on almost 25 ac buick res of land and employs around 260 men and women. Classic BMW has been recognized as a BMW Center of Excellence the last two years.

Classic BMW is still family owned and operated and hopes to be around to introduce BMWs to the next generati car news on of drivers. Some things may change in 40 years but one thing remains, BMWs are still the Ultimate Driving Machine®.
